4 Year Update

Case is 4 years old and at least once a week I am impressed with his knowledge and understanding of the world around him.  Case is a chatterbox and talks ALL the time.  His vocabulary and creativity are amazing.  For example, every day on our way to school he will make up stories complete with twists and turns.  In these stories he uses phrases like: suddenly the snake jumped out at me and fortunately he wasn’t venomous. 

His obsessions are snakes, crocodiles and any other animal featured on the Steve Irwin show.  Case can tell you all about a snakes: habitat, coloration, food source, whether or not they are venomous, aggressive and length.  His favorite color is still blue.  Plaid shirts with the sleeves rolled up is his clothing of choice.  His favorite bedtime stories are, I wish I had Duck Feet and I Love My Daddy.  Every night before bed he gives me high 5’s, bumps, go poks sign and we make shapes with our hands.  Triangles, diamond, hearts and little triangles.  

   

Case weighs 32 lbs and for someone who started out in life such a picky eater Case's meal time variety has exploded.  Case eats salad, sandwiches, pretzels, grapes, sliced cheese and meat, actually he will eat anything he can dip in ranch.  Cookies are of course a favorite as well. He also eats all of Cody's wild game which he calls 'Daddy meat.'  However his favorite meal consists of corn on the cob and any kind of pork.  Bacon, pork chops, pulled pork, he loves it all.  Case is a carnivore.



Case is my early riser and wakes up by 6 am every morning.  He crawls in bed with me and we snuggle while either snoozing or watching tv until Cole wakes up at 7:30.  Case is still such a sweet spirit.  He shares with his brother, is kind to the cats and will help when asked. I am amazed, lucky and blessed with how wonderful my children are.
