After the storm, it was time to eat and dinner got out of hand. So much for simple bbq. The menu ended up being: hamburgers, backstrap wrapped in jalapeño peppers wrapped in bacon, salad, broccoli, snap peas, veggies, chips, dip, corn on the cob, bread, rhubarb cobbler and ice cream. I should have put Tums on the menu because everyone was too stuffed to move. During the gorge we took turns sharing knock knock jokes. In-between bites of dinner Case jumped up and shouted. He lost his second tooth! Corn on the cob did the tooth in. Everyone hooped and celebrated the special occasion.

The rain stopped long enough for us to roll our stuffed bodies into our cars and drive across the street to watch fireworks on the truck tailgate bundled in jackets and blankets. The Keanues have shared several 4th of July's with our family and it has been fun to watch the children grow together. In fact we popped fireworks together on our driveway 6 years ago for Case's first 4th of July. Maddie was only 6 years old then. Look at how they have all grown! Hopefully these moments are ones they will remember with happiness later on in life.
