We took a day trip with Lele, Popie, Uncle Jason and Aunt Jennie to the museum of Osteology, a place dedicated to the study of bones and skeletons, which was amazingly fun for everyone. There were 2 floors packed over 300 full skeletons and 400 skull. Everything from a complete humming bird in flight to a humpback whale was on display. Who knew bones were so much fun! The entire place was very interesting. During our down time, Cole played puzzles with Lele on her tablet and made rubber band bracelets while Popie worked on his beading. Case read to Lele from his Magic Tree House chapter book and shot bows and arrows with Popie next to the house. We even toured the amazing parks of Yukon lights one evening. We played pegs and jokers at Bpas new house. The boys went deer hunting with Cody at Grandpa Bobbys and Cole helped count cows. And we took a day trip to Stillwater with Nana and cousin Hannah where we spent over 4 hours at the Wondertorium childrens play museum, visited Gallager IBA and pretended to play basketball, stopped to see the giant 22 foot Optimus Prime Transformer, ate at Eskimo Joes and had Christmas in the back of a SUV. The Wondertorium was such a neat interactive place of play. The children were able to play restaurant with fabulous play food, menus, cooking items, etc. There was an amazing doctors facility set up complete with a receptionist, operating room, x-ray machines with films, check up room, baby nursery and all the scrubs, wheelchairs, ace bandages and crutches a kid could want. Giant blocks, rock wall, dark room with glowing magnet tiles and light board, painting station, farm simulation (milking cows), grocery store, costumes, experiments with gravity, air flow and much, much more. The kids went shopping with Nana in the Joes store and we opened up Christmas presents under the glow of a car light in the back of an SUV, but the location doesn't matter because we had a great visit and were so happy to spend the day together.
Thanksgiving day was full of fantastic food classics like; green been casserole, corn casserole, mashed potatoes, noodles, ham, turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, pheasant poppers and an assortment of appetizer olives (just to name a few)! All that food and what did Cole eat? Rolls and cookies. Oh well, its a special day eat what you want. Now everyone is back home in Colorado and getting ready for our next family get together over Christmas. Its always fun to be in Oklahoma. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
