Snow Show

The family took advantage of some more beautiful weather by driving up to Breckenridge for the 2013 Budwiser International Snow Sculpture Championship.

The boy’s were able to experience their first taste of ski town life.  The town activities and snow sculptures were impressive.

Competitors had 36 hours to turn a block of snow like this into works of art. Pretty amazing if you ask me.

Some of the sculptures didn't make it.

My angles standing in front of some angles.

Ice scuplture choo-choo train.

Cole was too interested in the tunnel to take pictures.

All the sculpture scraps were discarded in one area which makes for some serious kid fun.  Snow forts, slides and snow balls were everywhere!

Even though the boys weren't dressed in their waterproof pants they still enjoyed the snow.  After all of our adventures they were soaked!  We had to strip em down in the truck and they rode home covered up in coats.  That is the price you pay for fun.

Is that a giant baby or a miniature stone henge?

The snow slides were no match for Case!  He went down all of the slides without a second glance.

Cole was up for the slide challenge as well.

Overall we had a great day in Breckenridge and can't wait until next year when where we will be better prepared to play, see the sculptures, as well as, ride the gondola and tackle sled mountain.
