Last year we had so much fun at Springs Spree I couldn’t
wait to go back this year for the 36th annual Spring Spree
Celebration over father’s day weekend. We
were part of the 70,000 people in attendance.
An added bonus was that Cody was home this year! Let the Father’s Day festivities begin! Case was looking forward to running in the water
balls in the kids section again but sadly, water balls were not a part of the festivities
this year. Despite the disappointment, we
managed to find lots of other fun to get into.
After we checked out dozens and dozens of booths, the boys decided to
kick off the fun by running in hamster balls.
I was surprised went Cole started chirping, ‘my turn’ and wanted to get
inside, but after he saw big brother in the hamster ball, Cole had to go as
well. Both boys took a spin around the
park in the train. Choo-choo! Then Cody took the boys over to the forbidden
side….the carnival side. Oh Lordy! Case threw darts and popped balloons, went
through obstacle courses, rode the carousel and motorcycles. Cole took a ride in an airplane, rode a
prehistoric roller coaster, drove a motorcycle and took a spin on the
carousel. After all that fun we found a
shade tree and shared corn dogs, gyros and dip and dots. Great family day folks! Great family day! I love summer!
