Case has been in my life for 5 wonderful years. Each year is just as wonderful as the last. And since I want to remember each year past for years to come, I am writing down all things Case. Case has a wealth of knowledge and information. And he has a
fantastic memory. His comprehension and understanding of concepts beyond his years always surprises me. He knows all his letters and sounds to each letter. He likes to do simple math with M&M’s. 1 M&M + 2 M&M’s = 3, subtract 1
M&M (insert M&M into mouth and eat) =2.
His penmanship has always been lacking but I would say he is improving. He has a great eye for mazes and can get
through a maze in no time flat.
If I ever had to compete in a game of trivia pursuit and one
of the categories was animals, reptiles, snakes, insects, sharks or amphibians
I would lay my money on my 5 year old every time. Sloth, honey badger, platypus, side winder,
ask him a question, he has the answer. He
is an outdoor lover and knows how to catch spiders, bugs, grasshoppers,
snakes. He has even been known to touch
a rabbit or two in our front yard. Occasionally
he watches cartoons but his tv shows of choice are typically educational in
nature and found on animal planet.
He is a lover to all things alive. Case is kind to our animals and the animals love him back. Elizabeth is officially his cat and waits for
him to go to bed so she can lay on him while he sleeps. It’s been 5 years and he has yet to touch
Lucy, but Case has not given up hope on being her friend. His years of patience have paid off in
progress and he can sometimes even sit in the same room as Lucy at a safe
distance without her tearing out of town.
If he isn’t outside catching bugs, Case wants to play
sports. His hand eye coordination is
great. Case has an amazing football
arm. He is able to throw a ball with length
and precision on a consistent basis. He
has enjoyed being a part of an organized t-ball team this year. He has played 2 seasons of T-ball and he received
medals for teamwork and respect. Both
are shining examples of who he is as a person.
Case is a wonderful big brother who is always giving to his
brother. If Cole wants something, even
if Case is playing with it, Case will most likely hand it over to Cole. Case is still a negotiator and will often ask
to make a deal or trade. Case likes to
fake burp and enjoys making our
family call, Woop-woop!
Case is a good eater and a carnivore at heart. He eats hamburgers, pork, bacon, hot dogs,
lunch meat, pepperonis, any kind of ‘daddy meat,’ ie: deer, antelope, mule deer,
addix. Your name it, if its meat, he
will eat it. Case still loves ranch
salads, cucumbers, French fries, sweet potato fries, peanut butter and
chocolate chip granola bars and pizza. Chocolate
is always a winner to sooth his sweet tooth and his favorite fruit is purple
grapes and watermelon.
Case is a talker. He
talks and talks and talks and talks and talks.
Sometimes I think my mind will explode.
He wakes up at 6 am talking. We spend the first hour of the day cuddling until it’s time to get dressed. Even during our early morning cuddles, he
talks the entire time and doesn’t stop all day long.
I am a lucky mama to be a part of his life and can only hope
and pray that I am as good a mama to him as he is a good person. I love you Case. Happy birthday.
