Baby! Come Back To Papa!
We have had "babies" (AKA: baby blankets, loves, etc) for the boys since they were born. These lovies go everywhere with us. Even though each boy has a spare baby, they know which one is the real deal and the one they love most. Despite all the places, states and stores these babies have traveled with us, we have only left a baby behind once that needed retrieving later……until today. Cole left his baby TWICE! First at Panera during breakfast while we had a special together day before school started back up. Several hours later we were driving back across town to pick him up. Fast forward to the evening, a couple errands completed and a trip to the pool later we were on our way to scouts. Cole said he wasn't going to bring baby inside because he didn't want to loose him like this morning. After scouts and before bed we started looking for baby and couldn't find him anywhere. We searched the house and the car several times. I could only think that baby had fallen out of the car during one of our many places we went to over the day. Baby was gone. Cole was heart broken. Tears, sobbing, crying until he puked on the floor and then he stood in a pile of puke wailing "Baby! Come back to papa!"over and over again. Prayers were sent to God and finally everyone went to bed sniffling. Next morning, our prayers were answered. Apparently Cole did take baby into scouts and the scout leader found him. Baby was picked up the next day and loved ones were reunited. Answered payers.
