BIG Weekend

Case wasn't the only one crossing over into bigger boy territory this weekend, Cole crossed over into his big boy bedroom as well. Cole has been so patient waiting for his room. In fact, I bought his bedding over a year ago! Poor fella. Hopefully the wait made the finished project even more satisfying and sweet. Cole picked a dinosaur theme so we purchased Jurassic Park accessories and printed Lego Jurassic park pictures for the wall. We even got his magnetic art wall hung up so he can hang all his artwork in his room. Only thing left to do is sand and refinish his headboard which is on our summer project list. When the room was all complete, Cole said he was so excited he was about to explode. Then he dramatically fell to the floor. I assume he exploded from joy. But don't worry, no children were harmed in the making of this room. He was on his feet and jumping on the bed shortly after the explosion.  Even though the bed is bigger, the room still feels empty to me. I miss his toddler bed which was once his crib. I guess I can't hold on to my baby forever. Big boy room and pre-K graduation today, college tomorrow. Cole is making a heart with his fingers because he loves his new bed. XOXO
