Hottest Day of the Summer

What do you do on the hottest day of the summer?  Pool?  Sprinkler?  Movie?  No, we decided to walk around in the 98 degree hot sun at the zoo.  Bad activity planning on mommies part.  The animals were all in hiding.  If we saw more than a dozen animals I would be surprised.  We had to cool off mid trip with some dip and dots and seek refuge in the shade on the carousel.  By the end of the day everyone was practically heat stroked.  But we did get to see the moose lounging in the pond instead of laying under his typical pine trees and everyone was able to pet a lizard, snake and baby wallaby.  The boys had fun, but next trip, mama is going to pay closer attention to the weather mans report.
