Today Cody and I drove up to Cripple Creek for lunch and a
play. On the way we were lucky enough to
see the Apsen’s changing. The
month of September is the ideal time to witness this scenic drive, but you have
to time it right. In some places the
color can last only about a week and if we get a strong wind all the foliage is
gone with the breeze. It's difficult to
predict when exactly the leaves will turn in any given location. However when the time is right and the sun hits the leaves the trees can look almost like they are glowing. The leaves are beautiful and the sight is
nothing short of spectacular.
