Labor Day weekend the family woke up super early to attend the 27th annual
Colorado Balloon Classic to view the sunrise (6:30 am) mass ascension of 50+ hot air
balloons. Viewing these massive balloons being laid out and filled up was
amazing to see. However being so close you could touch them was icing on the
cake. The excitement and awe of the sights made up for the super early start.
And we were lucky enough to attend on a morning where the weather was perfect
and the wind was slight therefore all the balloons lifted off and flew over
Pikes Peak. There were too many amazing pictures to pick just a few.
Initially both the boys were like, woa! What the heck is going on?
Dad told the boys about the balloons.
The first balloon is up! Let the rest begin.
Hello eyes. What do you see?
We watched this balloon from start to finish. The crew almost has the balloon up. Just a little more fire.
Within a matter of minutes balloons were poping up all over the place.
Finally it was take off time.
The morning was beautiful.
Up, up and away!
