Uculet Canada 2013 - Part 1

In July, Cody and I went on a vacation to Canada. This marked Cody and I’s first time to spend more than 3 hours together away from the kids in over 2 years. Of course I missed my babies, however these trips away are so refreshing. It is nice to remember who we are aside from parents and relate to each other strictly as a couple. At this stage in our life, when we vacation, Cody and I want to relax. We don’t want to hustle and sight see. We want to sleep, lounge, relax and indulge. This trip was exactly that. I know there were tons of things we ‘could have done’, but we did a whole lot of nothing. And after seeing our bed and breakfast, The Snug Harbor, can you blame us? The B&B was breathtaking.  Our room had an indulgent see through fireplace looking into the king sized bed and into the jacuzzi bathtub.  We also had a private deck and a view to die for!  Off our deck we could see the mountains plunging straight down to the water, private beach and view of a pretty little island complete with a bald eagle nest. We slept with the windows open every night and listened to the ocean waves crashing and the lighthouse horn honking in the back ground.  In the spirit of lounging, we spent every evening sitting on the main private deck soaking in the hot tub looking for whales and drinking locally made black berry wine. The B&B food was amazing and we stuffed ourselves with fresh baked breakfast bread every morning like; poppy, pumpernickel, lemon and banana chocolate chip bread. We also indulged in bagels and salmon locks, gourmet breakfast burritos and amazing baked eggs. We later learned that the B&B was ranked #1 by tripadvisor for Uculet and was in the top 20 for all of Canada. The room was peaceful, spectacular and the epitome of relaxation. Awwwwww. Peace.
