Happy Night

This evening was a night of peace and perfection. The kids have been asking to earn money for a fundraiser at school so I wrote down a bunch of chores with prices. The kids were very excited to earn money. Cole sat down and read books for 45 minutes, very well I might add, while Case cleaned his room and did homework. Then they both set the table and made dinner themselves. Cole baked chicken nuggets and fish sticks. Case made taco meat with fixings. Case made the entire dinner by himself, cooked the meat, put in the seasons, etc. I was right their next to him coaching, but he did it all. I was so proud. Only downfall was the Frito scoop chip, filled with peach yogurt, topped with a blueberry appetizer I had to eat. Darn that cooking class! After dinner the kids cleared off the table and Cole stood by the sink washing dishes and whistling while he worked. (Did I mention, Cole can whistle! And he is really good at it too!) Case has decided to pack their backpacks in the morning/make lunch and clean the cat boxes. Plus everything was was done with a sweet attitude. Ahhhh! So nice. Totally worth $2 each.  Now both of the boys have brushed their teeth by themselves and are taking a bath before cuddle night. Happy night.
