The First Drop Of Rain

-Heater was dying. Tried to make it with a broke heater for a couple months, but living in Colorado with a non function heater lead to too many cold mornings. Waking up to 57 degree house isn't fun.
-So we had to buy a new heater.
-Which lead to buying a new humidifier as well.
-While installing the heater, workers discovered vents in the basement were not connected to..... anything, had to be fixed.
-While connecting the vents they discovered exposed ductwork improperly sealed which was a safety hazard, had to be fixed
-Pergola's roof blew apart in the wind storm. Found out the installation company did not install the structure correctly.
-Had to fight with the company we bought it from. Then fight with the company that installed it just to get someone to come out to the house and look at it. Had to fight with the company to repair the unit. Finally we will be getting a new, properly installed unit in the future. This is almost resolved, whew.
-Cody's crown broke, again. Cody had a large infection under the crown. He had to have the infected roots removed and a bone graft. He has to heal for at least 6 months before they can try to fix the crown again. Dental work is necessary but unfortunately expensive.
-Someone ran into my new car was while I was stopped at a red light. Dealt with insurance companies, repair estimates, coordinating services with the mechanics and car rental company. Will be fixed by the end of next week, hopefully.
-Fighting with insurance companies over money owed to me for services rendered. Been fighting for this money for at least 9 months and I'm getting tired, tired, tired.
-Had to refinance the house to pay for the heater, the tooth and whatever else may be coming our way.

This has been a glimpse into our past few months. What started out with one drop of rain quickly turned into a monsoon. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to the dry season.
