Easter 2013

Prepare yourself for an Easter update with epic cuteness.  Easter morning we got up, put on our new Easter duds and headed out to church to worship the Lord.  My family is adorable beyond words!

photo DSC_0092_zps0d443f94.jpg Last year we took dozens of pictures of the boys.  They were all flops.  They were either crying, pushing, shoving or blurred from wiggling.  This year Case and Cole were all about cheesing for the camera, which makes my job of memoralizing our day and their cuteness all the easier.

This is a gourmet white chocolate deviled egg. The white egg was even topped with red colored sprinkles for paprika.  Case thoroughly enjoyed the treat.  You can imagine his surprise the next day, when we served real deviled eggs with dinner.  Not the same.  Needless to say, he did not finish the latter egg.

Cole made a complete turnaround from last year.  He went from a screaming, crying child who threw the eggs when they were handed to him to an experienced and accomplished experienced egg hunter.  I was just happy he enjoyed himself this year.

photo DSC_0135_zps9169bbcb.jpg Case found so many eggs he couldn't carry his basket anymore.  Case had to abandon the basket, search for eggs and then bring the eggs back to the basket.  His basket couldn't hold one more egg when he was finished.

The boys were both so excited about the hunt they didn't even see the presents left behind on the porch.  However after the Easter egg hunt was over they soon discovered the loot.

photo DSC_0193_zps63c5ef64.jpg Cole was quick to sniff out the tiny Reeses peanut butter cups. He shoveled them in his mouth as quickly as his little hands could unwrap them. I think we took the candy away after he had gobbled down at least 5 chocolate cups in 2 under minutes.

photo DSC_0217_zps4ffb6e30.jpg Case was most excited about opening up each individual egg to discover what was inside.  Candy?  Money? Tiny toy?  What's inside?  The suspense is maddening!

Don’t let the seemingly perfect description of the day fool you.  We are still a normal family.  For example, Case overloaded on stimulation and chocolate.  He ended up throwing major temper tantrum (which is rare for him) and landed himself in a time out.  During the time out, he was crying so hard, he choked and puked all over himself and a wagon full of toys.  See what I mean, real family.

  1. mmmmmmm... reeses throw up? Yuck! I don't know what you've done to include the pics, but I'm glad you've figured it out b/c I like seeing these handsome boys (and their beautiful mommy)! Do the pictures resize if you click on the pic and pull up that little caption menu?
