Last weekend we toured Freedom Financial Expo Centers traveling Discover the Dinosaur Expo. The afternoon resulted in a renewed interest in dinos for the boys. Since last weekend we have dusted off the bucket of plastic dinosaurs, opened up the Land Before Time dvd's, recorded some educations shows about dinosaurs on tv and have future plans to go dino book shopping. The event consisted of 8-10 scenes. Each scene represented dinosaurs from a period of time. The animatronic dinosaurs were interactive and could be controlled by viewers. At each scene the boys could push a button and control a tail moving back and forth, ribs breathing in and out, head turning side to side or hear a roar!control! The Expo had several non-moving dinosaurs positioned around the exhibit for the kids to touch and feel. Mini golf, inflatable bounce houses, fossil digs and dinosaur rides were also part of the fun. Each of these additional pleasures required a wait of least 30-45 minutes a piece. Despite the lines, the expo had something for everyone. I am not sure you ever grow too old to be mystified by dinosaurs. Cody and I enjoyed the educational aspect. I think the boys enjoyed the tiny mini golf area the most. We had a ROARing good time.
