Last weekend we re-visited the Big Cat Sanctuary in Calhan Colorado. We have been several times since we have lived here but it is always amazing to see so many animals up close and personal. Three years ago when we were at the sanctuary the facility had several babies you could hold for an extra fee. We held a baby wolf and a baby tiger. My favorite part was seeing the babies grown up 3 years later. We saw dozens of tigers, liagers, lions, bears, wolves, cougars, jaguars, lemurs, quati and other rescued animals. Case found a clump of tiger hair on the ground and kept it as a souvenir which was very exciting. One tiger lifted his tail at us which sent the group scattering to avoid being doused in pee. And on our drive home 'The Eye of the Tiger' was on the radio. We cranked up the volume and rocked out singing at the top of our lungs. A perfect ending to our Grrrrrrreat day.
Before Pics: Wee Little Baby White Tiger
This isn't the white tiger we held, but a cutie nonetheless. Sadly I didn't get a picture of our tiger. :(
Before Pic: This little wolf baby gave Cole kisses!
After Pic: Now the wolves are big boys and I am sure his kisses are wetter than ever.
