Christmas Lights

Every since we moved from Oklahoma to Colorado I have been in search of Christmas lights.  In Oklahoma, every town, park or neighborhood has millions of lights adorning everything that stands still.  Here in Colorado you are hard pressed to find a show that has over 100,000 lights total.  TOTAL!  In Oklahoma, a single gazebos can have at least 1,000,000 lights on them. People would scoff at an advertisement for a whole park with only 100,000 lights.  Apparently I have been spoiled.  Anyway, we decided to try out a drive through light park at Church of Nazarene.  The Many Lights of Christmas is a church show that sets up a drive through light display that hosts various Christmas displays and scenes such as the Grinch, Curious George, and of course, Santa and Mrs. Clause, as well as the Christmas Story of Jesus Christ born in Bethlehem.  Before you enter the park, volunteers attached a chalk board to the side of your car with your child's name written on it.  Then as we drove through the park, people, elves, and of course, Santa would call out to the children by name.  Case kept saying, 'they know my name! They know my name'  Was I impressed with the lights, no.  However the interaction piece made the the drive fun.
